SmartOrchestra

Merging smart service soloists into one large orchestra (Smart Services World I technology programme)

The cloud-based service platform conceived in the "SmartOrchestra" project makes it possible to combine, "orchestrate" and market intelligently networked products and services via manufacturer-specific interfaces in a smart and secure way. A waste bins of a private sector supplier equipped with sensors from different manufacturers could, for example, communicate its current filling level of via the platform and be emptied by a municipal waste disposal company when they are actually full – waste management becomes more efficient and cost-effective this way. The aim is to create an open and secure marketplace where smart services can be offered, combined and used in a flexible way.
