DigitalTWIN
Digital Tools and Workflow Integration for Building Lifecycles (Smart Services World II technology programme)
Leading medium-sized businesses of the construction industry into the digital age: This is the aim of "DigitalTWIN". The platform developed by the project combines digital technologies from the Industry 4.0 and the areas of construction planning and building management and was designed to be used flexibly in the construction industry. By developing platform architectures, interfaces and data formats further, new technologies such as 3D printers, augmented and virtual-reality technologies or cloud-based real-time data evaluation can be easily integrated. In the long term, this should lead to an interconnected and automated value chain. This way, companies can use digital tools and processes more easily to optimize the entire life cycle of buildings – from planning through construction to operation.
