Pebbles

Peer-to-Peer-Handel auf Basis von Blockchains (Smart Services World II technology programme)

Direct electricity trading between small producers and end consumers, in a village, in a city or in a region: pebbles investigates the development of a sustainable and economically profitable energy supply in a local intelligent power grid known as microgrid. The project uses the distribution grid of the network operator "AllgäuNetz GmbH" and focuses on the Bavarian village of Wildpoldsried, where the majority of households already use renewable energy. For this purpose, the project is establishing a regional platform for trading green electricity. The aim is to establish a model for a local energy market in which small and medium-sized producers, consumers, prosumers and companies trade electricity among themselves.
