Machine learning
In machine learning, computers independently generate knowledge that they can apply to known processes and solutions as well as to problems as yet unknown. For this purpose, large amounts of data are fed into a computer and subsequently independently analyzed with the help of algorithms, i.e. calculation processes, based on a defined and possibly repetitive pattern. In this way, the computer identifies patterns or regularities which it can then apply to new data sets, and the newly acquired information can be used for new improvements in the same way.
The computer thereby improves its own actions independently and continuously. Machine learning is a sub-area of artificial intelligence.
