SMARTCHAIN

Simplified Management and Automated Regulation Technology

Project description:

SMARTCHAIN aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the metalworking industry in overcoming regulatory challenges, particularly in relation to the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG). At the same time, it is intended to create the basis for facilitating comparable processes (e.g. data processing agreements, compliance with sanctions) and other supply chains.

The development of a platform based on generative AI to simplify contract design and management in supply chains will not only reduce bureaucracy, but also increase legal certainty. This approach is in line with the BMWK's goals of reducing bureaucratic hurdles and strengthening SMEs in their competitiveness as well as in environmental and climate protection. The platform promotes transparency, compliance and economic efficiency and emphasises "action" in the areas of sustainability and climate protection rather than just documentation.
