Generative AI for quality management in non-destructive testing (NDT)

Project description:

The project aims to use generative language models and multimodal AI foundation models to develop a NDT co-pilot in order to automate and optimise quality management in non-destructive testing and the steps that build on each other. To this end, the project consortium is developing prototypes that emphasise the potential of generative AI in non-destructive testing based on specific practical applications. These prototypes are to be designed in an open and standardised way with a view to possible reuse. The project will contribute to making findings and methodologies for the use of generative AI in NDT accessible to an entire industry. The planned innovation lies in a centralised software solution ("NDT co-pilot") that makes testing processes significantly more efficient and enables SMEs in particular to use generative AI.
