Accompanying research

The accompanying research advances overarching innovation policy objectives, compares national and international technology developments and engages in utilisation-oriented market monitoring. Prognos AG, the Research Institute for Sustainability (RIFS), the law firm Noerr, TransMIT GmbH and the agency Zum goldenen Hirschen support the technology projects in achieving their objectives on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). By connecting with existing networks and initiating new ones, the programme brings together relevant players from research, business and politics.

Networking players from diverse industry and technology backgrounds helps target and facilitate partnership-driven solutions to relevant issues that cut across multiple sectors. The accompanying research organises the transfer of knowledge and results. It also effectively communicates information concerning project progress to the public. On the one hand, this approach strengthens cross-project communication and collaboration. On the other hand, it also increases acceptance of the results of the accompanying research. The opportunities and potential Germany has to offer as a business location in the field of green technologies are communicated to a broad audience, focusing both on the technologies and their economic utilisation through successful business models.
