Forum Digital Technologies: The work continues
Visibility - Networking - Results Transfer. Since 2019, the Forum Digital Technologies (FDT) has been supporting the technology programs and funding projects of the Department for "Development of Digital Technologies" with its diverse offerings. Now, its work has been extended until February 2027.
Many projects are already familiar with and appreciate the Forum Digital Technologies (FDT) – either because they have participated in an event at the FDT showroom in Berlin or even organized their own events there; others have placed a demonstrator in the showroom or have been involved in one of the Forum's national or international roadshows.
Showcase of Projects
Over the past five years, the Forum has successfully established itself as a networking platform and exhibition space for research projects and innovations in the field of digital future technologies from Germany. Its showroom in Berlin-Charlottenburg offers a unique combination of an attractive demonstrator exhibition and modern event spaces, which are available free of charge to the projects. Additionally, the Forum digitally disseminates tailored project content through its website and social media, targeting primarily the SME audience.
The executing consortium, consisting of DFKI (consortium leader), Fraunhofer HHI, and VDI/VDE-IT, has now been tasked with continuing the work of the Forum for another three years starting from March 1, 2024.
Support for Results Transfer
The primary goal remains to increase visibility for projects from various BMWK technology programs and to promote exchange with relevant stakeholders and results transfer at the national and international levels.
In the future, there will be an even stronger focus on the transfer and exploitation of project results. The Forum will support projects in their exploitation activities and will offer new formats such as a national roadshow, demo days, spotlight events, or specialized coaching in addition to the services provided by accompanying research.
