Germany and France in intensive exchange on private 5G networks
Partners from 15 BMWK-funded projects met on November 30, 2023 to exchange ideas at the 3rd Franco-German workshop for private 5G.
In an intensive working atmosphere, more than 40 experts met at the Digital Technologies Forum to discuss the status of their projects and cross-cutting topics. The participants were from projects of the Franco-German ecosystem for private 5G networks, the BMWK "5G Campus Networks" funding area, as well as the LincNet and Canopy projects.
The aim of the one-day event was to support the exchange between various R&D projects of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action in the field of private 5G networks. The meeting was preceded by two very successful workshops at the IEEE 5G Summit in Dresden. This time, the focus was on strengthening technical cooperation on an open component building block kit for 5G campus networks, the development and use of 5G test centers, and on strategies for the further development of the ecosystem for 5G solution providers and users.
