GEPARD
Generative artificial intelligence in production adjustments for resource-saving document and data generation
Project description:
The main objective of the project is to develop an assistance system based on generative artificial intelligence (GenKI) that (partially) automates the creation and adaptation of production-relevant documents and data during production start-ups, variant changes or other production conversions in the event of minor product modifications. The focus here is on particularly labour-intensive documents such as assembly and work plans as well as CAM data that only differ in detail in the case of minor product modifications. The adaptive system is intended to identify implicit decision rules that map the employees' empirical knowledge in the long term by transferring it to the system. The system should thus help to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the available skilled labour, secure implicit and explicit specialist knowledge and ultimately increase the competitiveness of companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises.
In addition to the system itself, methods, processes and instructions are to be developed that enable the company-specific integration of the system. Specifically, the following main results are to be generated:
Development of an assistance system prototype and integration as an MVP
Concepts and implementation of modules for data and document processing
Creation of methods and processes to ensure transferability.
