CLINIC 5.1 Symposium: Data as an Economic Asset

Start:28/02/2023 - 02:00 PM
End:28/02/2023 - 05:00 PM
Location:Online

The CLINIC 5.1 project aims to establish a link between translational medicine, the research-based medical industry and software-based high-tech companies. Specifically, a virtual 4-D simulation of prostate cancer patients, as granular as possible, with all available medical data on diagnosis and therapy along the timeline is planned (Digital Twin). For clinical decision support, AI models are being established to identify new risk factors in the development of the disease and to determine the optimal therapy.

At the same time, the project aims to facilitate professional exchange and initiate a social debate on how the sharing and use of sensitive health data - also for commercial purposes - can improve healthcare for all.

On 28 February, the CLINIK 5.1 project partners will present their latest results on the topic of "Data as an Economic Asset", rounded off by further presentations from academia, legal consulting practice and companies, including:

  • AI/ML use cases from practice - Legal advice in different industries
  • Health data for commercial companies? Ethical considerations for secondary use by research companies.
  • Exercising research privilege in light of new EU legislation on digitalisationg
  • Innovative data-driven solutions in medical technology in the light of current legislative processes
