Digital Europe programme: DATA SPACES calls
On 19 May 2022, the European Commission representatives will present the details of the upcoming calls for proposals for Data Spaces for Mobility, Smart Communities, Manufacturing and Media as part of the Digital Europe programme.
The European Data Strategy aims to create a single market for data, where personal and non-personal data as well as sensitive business data are secure and companies have easy access to a large amount of high-quality data. To accelerate the development of the data market, the Commission will co-fund projects to establish Data Spaces in strategic economic sectors and areas of public interest, such as mobility, smart communities, manufacturing and media. Those data spaces will bring together data, data infrastructures and governance structures in order to facilitate secure data pooling and data sharing, a pre-condition for wider availability of data across the economy.
