Smart Services Worlds

Smart services put users at the center. These intelligent services make both life and work easier. With the technology programmes "Smart Services World I" and "Smart Services World II," the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action is funding a total of 39 smart service projects that develop innovative digital services for business and society. The funded projects are developing prototype solutions in the areas of construction and employment, energy, medicine, mobility, production, as well as housing and living. The "Smart Service World II" is dedicated in particular to digitisation in rural and small-town areas. Accompanying research addresses important issues and challenges relating to law, standardization, secure platform architectures, and digital business models and platform economies. With a total of more than 200 million Euros for research and development, the two programmes are contributing significantly to the development of smart services.
