The use of AI in diagnostics is essential for all kinds of modern treatment methods, such as personalised medicine. EMPAIA is therefore establishing a platform for standardised, certified and explainable AI solutions for image-based medical diagnostics, using pathology as an example. In addition to an infrastructure for accessing training data, the platform will create a marketplace for AI applications for clinical practice. Moreover, solutions to legal and billing challenges are also being developed.
