New video release: GreenTech Innovation Competition

The film about the GreenTech Innovation Competition – produced by the accompanying research team – illustrates how science and industry are jointly developing digital technologies for a sustainable future, thereby strengthening Germany as a high-tech hub for sustainable digitalisation.

At present, 21 projects with around 120 partners from research and industry are collaborating within the programme. The focus is on digital technologies for greater sustainability, the sustainability of digital technologies themselves, and the measurement of sustainability. The film provides insights into the diversity of topics: from carbon footprint measurement in supply chains to digital solutions for the circular economy and energy efficiency, as well as digital twins.

The voices from the projects speak for themselves: The GreenTech Innovation Competition motivates companies to develop sustainable business models that might not have been feasible without such support. The open exchange between teams and the accompanying research is particularly valued:

“These working meetings, which we also hold regularly within the technology programme, are simply very helpful. They help us to think outside the box. It’s also good to see what other projects are doing. How are they approaching a digital twin? What challenges are they facing? And very often, there are intersections where we can learn from one another,” says Robert Seeliger, Green Streaming project.
