"Digital Technologies" live at the Hannover Messe - Secure your free ticket now!

A total of 14 projects from the BMWK's "Development of Digital Technologies" funding programme are exhibiting their results at this year's Hannover Messe. The focus of the trade fair presentations is on the topics of artificial intelligence, 5G campus networks and digital production. Free tickets can be requested on the HM website with the code LGnM4.

How AI is transforming our business processes

In Hall 2, four funded projects of the BMWK on artificial intelligence will present themselves. The PAIRS project is working on an AI platform for crisis management that can highlight potential supply chain problems in crisis situations. SPAICER optimises the resilience of production systems and can help mitigate business risks in global supply chains. Both projects are exhibiting at the Saarland stand (B34).

The two AI projects Agri-GAIA and IIP Ecosphere can be visited at the joint stand of the MWK Lower Saxony. Agri-Gaia is an open AI ecosystem for the agri-food industry based on GAIA-X, the European sovereign data infrastructure. IIP-Ecosphere wants to establish a novel AI ecosystem for smart industrial production together with industry, service providers, associations and science.

Highlights from the area of 5G campus networks

A second focus is on funding projects in the area of 5G campus networks. In Hall 14 Stand 06, the lead project CampusOS will exhibit together with the main project of the German-French cooperations, 5G-OPERA. Both projects aim to build an ecosystem for the efficient development of specific 5G campus network solutions based on open and modular radio technologies and interoperable network components.

At the panel The 5G Private Network Ecosystem: Status and Growth Opportunities, representatives of the BMWK and other high-profile experts will discuss the status quo and opportunities for 5G campus networks. The event will take place on Tuesday, 18 April 2023 from 15:55 to 16:25 in Hall 14, Stand H06.

Industry 4.0 & digital production: These highlights are on offer at this year's HMI.

With no less than six other projects funded by the BMWK, Germany as a business location is showing itself to be an innovative pioneer in the field of Industry 4.0:

- FabOS (Hall 15, H07) presents an open, distributed and real-time operating system for the production of the future.
- The QUASIM project (Hall 2, B34) develops solutions to increase the quality of digital twins in the metalworking industry through quantum computing.
- ARIBIC (Hall 17, Stand E16) is showing an AI-based open platform solution for localising autonomous transport vehicles in warehouse applications.
- The German-Austrian lead project for GAIA-X EuProGigant (Hall 12) is working on the smart, sovereign use of production data and can be visited on the stand of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.

- KI-Marktplatz (Hall 7 D27) has developed a digital platform for AI solutions in the engineering sector that can be tested free of charge.
- IDunion (Hall 9 D53) uses blockchain to determine the real CO2 footprints of products and makes them reliably traceable along the entire supply chain.

In addition, a wealth of interesting information and top-class guests will be attracted to the joint stand of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. There, the mobil-hub project from the "ICT for Electromobility" technology programme will present a roof landing platform with a transport drone for use on delivery vehicles and buses. In future, intelligent logistics drones for the last mile will use existing transport infrastructures in an energy-saving way. The drone only flies part of the way and uses an existing means of transport (e.g. public buses) for longer distances.

We look forward to your visit!
