Horizon Europe: 2.8 billion euros for innovation in the European space

The EU's 2023-2024 "Digital, Industry and Space" work program offers extensive new funding opportunities. Information days from December 12-14 will make it easier to get started.

The European Commission is publishing the brand-new 2023-2024 work program for Horizon Europe "Industry, Digital, Space" (Cluster 4) these days. It offers companies and research institutions the opportunity to network on a European level, to conduct joint research and to transfer their own developments to the European area. The program defines numerous technical focal points, such as climate-neutral digital production, AI-supported robotics, photonics and data technologies, but it also focuses on issues of trustworthy AI, ethical design of the Internet and digital education.

The first calls for proposals are expected soon. Participation is worthwhile: a budget of approximately 1.7 billion euros in 2023 and another 1.1 billion euros in 2024 is planned.

To facilitate access to this extremely comprehensive funding program, the EU Commission is offering introductory events from December 12-14, 2022, which are recommended for all interested parties and especially newcomers to EU-funded R&D. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and learn what to look out for to submit a successful submission.

A community platform and a special brokerage event for digital topics support networking with other European stake-holders. The DLR Project national contact point will be happy to provide advice.
