AcRoSS

Making Augmented Reality usable for industry (Smart Services World I technology programme)

In industrial environments many activities can be supported by augmented reality (AR). The perceived reality of the user is enriched with context-specific information. This requires a functioning interaction of AR-enabled devices (e.g. data glasses) with users, IT systems and the production environment. AcRoSS wants to make AR accessible for companies of different sizes and industries. For this purpose, a platform is being developed on which all necessary data can be exchanged and a variety of AR services can be offered. Due to the openness and expandability of the platform, third parties can also participate in the development of new AR services.
